There are rumors floating around that Miley Cyrus, or more famously known as Hannah Montana, is set to replace the throne of Britney Spears. Miley Cyrus is one of the most popular female pop stars in this day and age. She has a huge fan base, thanks to her famous Disney role, Hannah Montana. Her fans, mostly young girls and teenagers, are willing to do everything just to get a glimpse of their favorite pop star. Just like Britney, men and women of all ages love Miley.

There are also various similarities that the two pop stars share: they are both singers and they are both from the South. However, there are also many differences. Young and teenage girls look up to Miley Cyrus ever since she started her role as Hannah Montana. These young girls considered her a goddess because she was a good role model. Britney, on the other hand, when she started was not the best role model for kids and teenagers because of her choice of outfits and sexy songs.

Now, will Miley Cyrus be the next Britney Spears? I certainly think so. With the path that she is taking now, she will be like Britney Spears in no time.

Aretha Franklin Brought Respect To All Female Artists

Aretha Franklin’s powerful voice and demanding style has impacted women singers and performers world wide. With a confident voice and blues like style, there is nothing this lady can’t pull off.

Her single, “Respect,” (1967) is probably one of the most referred to, popular, and played rhythm and blues, pop song ever recorded.

Born in Memphis in 1942, Aretha Franklin’s stylistic sound and influence from Billie Holliday and gospel earned her a recording career with Columbia Records. Influenced strongly by Dinah Washington, she continued jazz pop recordings with Atlantic Records and was dubbed “The Queen of Soul.”

Other major hits include, “Until You Come Back to Me” and “You Make Me Feel Like a Natural Woman.”

Aretha Franklin was the first woman inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. She was the second African American woman to be on the cover of Time magazine in 1968. She was awarded an honorary doctorate in music from Harvard in 2010 and was the subject of the Grammy Awards tribute in 2011.

She recently recorded, despite many health problems with Tony Bennett on his “Duets, II” album.

Ms. Franklin has had a long, hard, successful career and influenced many women singers.

The Cranberries are one of my ultimate favorite bands. One of the main reasons that I love them so much is their dynamic lead singer, Dolores O’Riordan. Born in Ireland in 1971, O’Riordan was a driving force in the band’s popularity, particularly in the decade of the 1990s. With a voice that was simply like no other on the market, O’Riordan made songs like “Zombie” and “Linger” stay in our heads and never leave. The Cranberries successfully produced five albums together as a group between the years of 1993 and 2001. O’Riordan was not only known for her incredibly unique voice, but for her eclectic style as well. In the years that the Cranberries were together as a group, she had many different hair colors and styles. As a front singer for the Cranberries, she was a great role model for women everywhere-she could sing any style song that the band came up with-from hard rock to slow ballads. She embodied the perfect example of a strong woman, something that was much needed during the time when the Cranberries were at their prime. The Cranberries went on a temporary break in 2003 after releasing a greatest hits album and O’Riordan then released two solo albums. Much to everyone’s delight, the band did come together in 2009-2010 for a reunion tour, reminding everyone just how great the Cranberries and Dolores O’Riordan are!

Everyone is waiting on Madonna’s next album. The 53-year-old has fans on pins and needles now that she has teased everyone with the announcement of a new album coming out next year. Fans were left with “Hard Candy” in 2008, and have been waiting to see some new work from the most amazing female artist of all time. Recent reports indicate Madonna will have a new single out early next year, and the album will be soon to follow. There have been no leaks as to the theme of this new album or what type of artistic style the diva may turn out this time. It will be her first album with Live Nation, since her split from Warner Brothers. Her last album featured some guest appearances and with all the praise extended to Lady Gaga by Madonna, many fans would love to see this combination belting out lyrics together. A tour with these two would be an overwhelming event! Exactly what the bestselling female artist of all time has up her sleeve is still a mystery. She has stayed in the public eye working on films, but so many will be ecstatic to see Madonna return to her true passion: music.
